You become an unlimited member, which means you have access to exclusive MakerU classes, workshops, patterns and MakerDrop discounts.

When you sign up, you are instantly enrolled in a 7-day trial of MakerU where you have a week to experience MakerU and give yourself time to decide whether you’d like to remain a member or not. During the trial, you are not yet an Active Member, but have ALL the member benefits.  If you do not cancel before the end of your 7-day trial, you will be automatically billed $19 USD for your first month of Maker U as an Active Member.

You become an active member of MakerU once you’ve completed the 7-day trial and paid the first month ($19 USD).

No. We are not a yarn membership and do not ship yarn monthly. What we offer are video classes on Knitting, Crochet, and other workshops that are geared towards crafters and fiber artists. New crochet and knitting classes are released monthly, and as a member, you get access to all past and new classes, our online community of like-minded fiber artists and access to help from an instructor, as well as access to our stitch and skill library.  We also release bonus classes on occasion.

If you would like to cancel, please contact us to let us know and we’ll take care of it for you.

Once your membership is cancelled our system automatically removes your access to the classes. You will still be able to log in, but will be asked to sign up again.

To make sure this doesn’t happen, we advise requesting a cancellation when you’re near the end of your current month or right before your month is set to renew.

For most credit or debit card payments, we may be able to do that, but we’ll need to check first. However, if you pay via PayPal, we are unable to schedule a cancellation for you and you will need to request your cancellation.

Stopping automatic payments in Paypal is considered a cancellation in our system. All cancelled accounts will lose access to classes immediately. If you’ve done this in error, please contact us or send us an email at [email protected]

When you sign up, you are emailed your login details. If you didn’t receive any, there’s a chance you may have mistyped your email address during the sign-up process. The best way to fix this is to contact us and we’ll get it sorted out for you. You should also check your spam folder in case the email was filtered there.

Contact us right away if this happens so we can check your account and find out what’s wrong.

It’s possible that when you copy/paste your details a space or hidden character was copied along with it which is why the site won’t accept your password. If you find that the generated password is too difficult to type or remember, just contact us to request a password reset.

All classes in MakerU are accessible to you as an Active member. They are included for free as a part of your monthly membership, and you shouldn’t be prompted to pay for individual classes as an Active Member. If you are experiencing this issue with any of the classes, please contact us right away so we can resolve the issue.

What we can do is cancel your membership for now and if you are able to join again, just let us know or sign up again on our website.

Yes, if you signed up for MakerU, any monthly charges listed under Ideal Me are for MakerU. However, you may also see Ideal Me for other purchases you may madefrom us.
